The Busy Summer of 2015!

Posted 8/7/2015 9:55am by Lawreen Strauch.

Hard to believe it's already August! We've (per usual) had a busy summer and not much time to blog. Here's a quick look at some highlights from the last few months around the farm!

In June we hosted a Carroll County Farm Bureau Member Farm Tour & Meeting. We opened the evening with a tour of our property to the nearly 40 attendees and discussed the history of our colonial farm house and how the farm and 30 acres of land has changed in the three decades we've owned it.

Following the tour, everyone enjoyed a festive dinner under the tent (featuring our chicken and turkey, local eggs from Haines Hill Farm and Free Range Chix Farm, both in Wolfeboro and native strawberries from McKenzie's Farm in Milton/Wakefield.) We lucked out and had great weather, yummy local food and even better company! Check out more photos from the event on our Facebook page.

We once again entered a float in Wolfeboro's Fourth of July Parade. Tom Turkey cruised Main Street and for the first time drove our new "old" farm truck. We all had a great time seeing so many familiar faces!

In addition, there have been a variety of new babies keeping us on our toes! Hard to believe summer will be winding down in just a few short weeks...
